Siemens SL2SPSCW-F (S54329-F165-A1) — indoor ceiling-mount 8-watt high-fidelity speaker-strobe with a clear LED strobe lens and a white faceplate lettered "FIRE".
The SL2 series pairs a high-efficiency 8-watt speaker with an LED strobe, and the LED strobe is the point: it draws significantly less current than a xenon appliance, which means fewer power supplies, smaller wire gauge and shorter wire runs on a given circuit. Existing xenon and new LED strobes may share the same field of view. Both outputs are set by hand in the field with no tools — a slide adjustor picks one of six candela settings and a tap selector picks one of seven wattage taps from 1/8 W to 8 W — and the housing is designed with no visible mounting screws. The 300 Hz to 8000 Hz frequency response covers sleeping-area intelligibility requirements. Strobes synchronize through all Siemens addressable panels, the PAD-series NAC extenders, and Siemens dual-sync (DSC) modules using the Siemens proprietary synchronization protocol.

Installation notes
-
Ceiling candela values differ from wall: ceiling-mount appliances offer 15, 30, 75, 110, 150 and 177 cd, while wall-mount SL2 appliances top out at 135 and 185 cd. Do not carry a wall-mount candela figure across to a ceiling layout.
-
Backbox is a different part for ceiling: ceiling appliances use the SLSPBBC backbox (the SL2SPBB is the wall-mount backbox), or a 4-inch square box.
-
Synchronization needs the right source: strobes sync via Siemens addressable panels, PAD-series NAC extenders, or DSC dual-sync modules, which supply the Siemens proprietary sync protocol. A generic sync module is not a substitute.
-
Mixing LED and xenon is allowed: the series is designed so existing xenon strobes and new LED strobes can appear in the same field of view, which matters on phased retrofits.
-
Indoor only: the 32°F to 122°F rating is for indoor applications; this is not a weatherproof appliance.
-
Current draw per setting is published in graphical tables in the data sheet that do not survive text extraction. Take the RMS current at your chosen candela and wattage tap from the printed data sheet when doing battery and NAC calculations.
