Siemens RL-HC — ceiling-mount remote alarm lamp, part number 500-033230, for detectors installed out of sight.
Siemens supplies the RL-HC for initiating devices that are concealed or not exposed to view: above suspended ceilings, under sub-floors, in unexposed ventilating ducts, in locked vaults or inside computer consoles. The red LED on the round plate lights when its associated detector goes into alarm, so a responder can find the device that tripped without opening the concealed space. It is driven from the detector head rather than addressed on the loop, and terminals TB2 and TB3 are polarity insensitive.
- Mounts to a 4 in. octagon outlet box (user supplied)

The wall-mount twin is RL-HW (500-033310, rectangular plate, single-gang box). Do not substitute the ILED-XC: that is an addressable remote lamp that consumes a loop address.
