Siemens MSI-B6F — single-action addressable manual fire alarm box in a metal housing, Siemens part number 500-895301, for FireFinder XLS and MXL panels.
A microcomputer chip in each box stores its identity and status and talks both ways with the panel over one pair of wires, which also powers it. The address is written electronically with the Siemens DPU programmer/tester or the FPI-32 upgrade kit, so there are no jumpers, DIP switches or rotary dials.
