TH6220WF2006/U — Honeywell Home T6 Pro Smart programmable Wi-Fi thermostat, a multi-stage thermostat controlling up to 2 heat / 2 cool on conventional forced air systems, supplied with the UWP wall plate and a decorative cover plate.
The T6 Pro is compatible with most heating, cooling and heat pump systems and requires 24 VAC power via a “C” wire. System type is selected in the installer setup as Conventional Forced Air, Heat Pump, Boiler or Cool Only, with equipment types including standard-efficiency gas, high-efficiency gas, oil, electric, fan coil, air-to-air or geothermal heat pump, and hot water or steam boiler. Schedule types are configurable as no schedule, every day the same, 5-1-1, 5-2 (the default), or every day individual, and comfort features include Adaptive Intelligent Recovery, which starts the equipment earlier so the indoor temperature matches the setpoint at the scheduled time, plus optional Auto Changeover with an adjustable auto differential. Wi-Fi setup and remote control are handled through the mobile app named in the install manual, using an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.

Installation notes

C wire is required: the thermostat needs 24 VAC power at Rc and C — it is not battery powered.

Not for electric baseboard: the T6 Pro does not work with electric baseboard heat (120 V–240 V).

Heat pump staging limit: if you configure this model for a heat pump, only one compressor stage is available — a two-stage heat pump needs the TH6320WF2003 instead.

Transformer slider tabs: set the R slider tab on the UWP wall plate up (1 wire) for single-transformer systems or down (2 wires) for two-transformer systems; set the U slider tab up for non-powered ventilation or down for powered ventilation.

Optional cover plate: use the decorative cover plate to hide the paint gap from an old thermostat; cover plate style varies by manufacturing date.

Mounting: supplied screws are #8 1-1/2″ (38 mm) for red anchors and #6 1-1/2″ (38 mm) for yellow anchors; do not overtighten, and make sure the plate is level.

Advanced menu: long-press the Menu button for 5 seconds to reach the installer setup (ISU) options.

App required for Wi-Fi: an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet is needed to register the thermostat and connect it to Wi-Fi.
