Notifier MODBUS-GW — embedded gateway linking a Modbus/TCP network to fire alarm control panels on a NOTI-FIRE-NET network.
It reaches the fire network through the network port on any NCM and presents panel data to a Modbus master over Ethernet. No configuration utility is needed: enter the TCP/IP settings and the nodes to monitor, and it auto-discovers and reports the mapping. UL recognises it as an ancillary reporting device.
- Monitors four compatible NFN or high-speed NFN nodes, not counting its own
- Reports event type, active, enabled and acknowledged state, device type, analog value from 4 to 20 mA modules, troubles
- Reads up to 100 registers at a time, analog values 10 registers
- One Modbus master, one-byte Unit IDs, Modbus Spec. V1.1b
- Panels: NFS-320, NFS-640, NFS2-640, NFS-3030, NFS2-3030
- UL 864 Ninth Edition and UL 2017; UL/ULC file S635
- Static IP, 100Base-T, TCP port 502
It also needs an NCM or HS-NCM board and NFN network 5.0 or above, and the CAB-4 cabinet and CHS-4L chassis are sold separately. Notifier states the CLSS Gateway Modbus feature may reside on the same system as this one; what decides between them is that this gateway reads 4 to 20 mA analog values and the CLSS feature does not.
