Notifier EOL-CR — red metal single-gang mounting plate for an end-of-line device.
On a Class B initiating or notification appliance circuit the end-of-line device sits at the far end of the run, where it has to stay accessible for testing and for tracing an open. When the last device is a detector base or a sealed appliance there is often nowhere sensible to land the resistor, and taping it into a box above a ceiling makes it invisible to the next technician. The EOL-CR gives that device its own terminal strip at a reachable height, and the red enamel keeps the plate from being mistaken for a blank cover.
