NOTIFIER AMPS-24 — an addressable power supply and battery charger with up to three 24 VDC outputs, for the NFS-3030, NFS2-3030 and NCA-2.
It operates in either FlashScan® or CLIP (Classic Loop Interface Protocol) mode with the NFS-3030/NFS2-3030 Fire Alarm Control Panel, and can also be used as the primary power supply for the NCA-2 Network Control Annunciator. Being addressable, the supply reports its own condition — AC loss, brownout, battery and battery charger trouble — back to the panel as points rather than as a single dry-contact trouble.
Features
- Addressable by NFS-3030/NFS2-3030 FACP.
- Selectable charging current charges 7 AH to 200 AH batteries.
- Isolated Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) interface.
- Trouble bus input for use with normally-open dry contacts or open-collector circuit.
- USB Type B connector for programming installation parameters.
- Brownout detection.
- Battery / battery charger supervision.
- AC loss detection and AC loss delay reporting.
- Mounts in a CAB-4 Series enclosure, EQ Cabinet Series enclosure, BB-25, BB-100, or BB-200 Battery Backbox.

Total AUX 24V is the maximum current for all AUX 24 volt outputs. Note that TB2 on the CPS-24 is limited to 0.5 A.
Installation notes
-
Charging a large battery costs you output current: at the 5 A charger setting for 55–200 AH batteries, Configuration 1 leaves 0 A of AUX 24V, and Configuration 2 drops MAIN 24V to 3 A. Size the batteries and the auxiliary load together, not separately.
-
Match the charger setting to the actual battery: the three settings correspond to defined battery ranges — 1 A for 7–26 AH, 2 A for 12–60 AH, 5 A for 55–200 AH.
-
Line voltage is model-specific: the AMPS-24 is a 110–120 VAC unit. For 220–240 VAC service order the AMPS-24E — they are not field-convertible.
-
Enclosure required: the supply mounts in a CAB-4 Series enclosure, EQ Cabinet Series enclosure, BB-25, BB-100, or BB-200 Battery Backbox, which is a separate order.
-
Programming: installation parameters are set through the USB Type B connector.
-
Battery fuse: F2 is a 15 A fast-acting fuse — replace only with the same rating.
