Mircom MIX-2351AP (also searched as MIX2351AP) is a Select Series low-profile intelligent photoelectric smoke detector, addressable by rotary switch and reporting analog smoke density to a compatible Mircom fire alarm control panel.
It is a plug-in detector head with point ID capability: each address is set with on-board rotary address switches, so the panel identifies the exact device location rather than a zone. Its re-designed optical sensing chamber is engineered to sense smoke from a wide range of combustion sources, and detector sensitivity is continually monitored and reported back to the panel. Sensitivity is programmed through the control panel software. Mircom's Advanced Protocol is a high-speed communication protocol between intelligent devices on the loop. Dual LEDs give 360° visibility. The head ships on its own; the mounting base (B300-6, B501-WHITE or a sounder, isolator or relay base) is ordered separately.

Installation notes
- The published height and diameter apply only once the head is seated in a base; choose the base before cutting ceiling openings.
- The MIX-2351AP senses smoke only. The 135°F thermal element belongs to the MIX-2351TAP multi-sensor.
- Remote test capability for duct smoke detectors is a feature of the MIX-2351RAP, not the MIX-2351AP.
- Sensitivity is set in the panel, so a replacement head inherits what the panel has stored for that address.
- Order the MIX-2351AP for UL jurisdictions and the MIX-2351APA for Canadian ones.
