Li-ion Tamer LT-SEN-R3 — Gen 3 reference sensor for the Li-ion Tamer lithium-ion off-gas detection system.
It is not a smoke or heat detector. It detects the electrolyte solvent vapours a lithium-ion cell vents early in a failure, ahead of thermal runaway. The role matters: monitoring sensors sit at the racks in the downstream airstream, while reference sensors like this one watch the air inlets, letting the controller discount vapour from outside and reject false positives.
- Target gases are lithium-ion electrolyte solvent vapours: DEC, DMC, EMC
- Detection threshold 10 ppm per second, response time from 5 seconds
- Reports off-gas, temperature and humidity to the hub over CANbus
- Powered from the hub at 12 VDC; up to 100 sensors per LT-CTR-SML controller
- Calibration free, lifetime over 10 years
- Operating range -10 to 50 °C (14 to 122 °F), 10 to 90% RH
- FM 6540 approved; ETL listed to UL 61010 and CSA 22.2 No. 61010
LT-SEN-M3 is the monitoring sensor and is not interchangeable. LT-ACC-HUB-POE and LT-ACC-HUB-PWR are the hubs powering the chain, LT-ACC-TST is the DEC bump test bottle.
