Kidde KI-ABLT 520 Hz Low Frequency Audible Sounder Base for CO and Fire Detectors

Kidde KI-ABLT — low frequency audible sounder base that adds a 520 Hz alarm tone at the detector position.

520 Hz signalling is specified for sleeping areas because it rouses occupants more reliably than a high pitched tone. The KI-ABLT replaces the plain mounting base beneath a Kidde intelligent detector, so the sound comes from the detector itself rather than a separate appliance, with audio power drawn from a 24 Vdc riser landed on the base terminals.

• Code compliant 520 Hz low frequency output
• Suits Kidde intelligent smoke and heat detectors, both KIR rotary addressed and KI electronically addressed
• Supports CO detectors in Fire-plus-CO mode with a Kidde temporal pattern generator
• Output mode jumper, factory set to Fire, is cut to select Fire-plus-CO
• Volume jumper, factory set to High, is cut for low dB output
• Mounts to a 4 in. square box only, unlike the standard, relay and isolator bases

Two standard frequency siblings sit beside it in the Kidde accessory table: KI-ABST is for fire detectors only, not combination CO detectors, and KI-ABDT covers CO and fire without the 520 Hz output.
