Kidde G4LFRF-H — Genesis G4LF low frequency audible signal, red housing, FIRE marking, audible only with no strobe.
Many codes call for a 520 Hz signal in newly built sleeping rooms, where the usual 3.2 kHz tone wakes sleepers less reliably. This unit produces that tone in the three-pulse temporal pattern, synchronised with other Genesis audible signals on the circuit.
- 520 Hz tone, Temporal 3 from the factory; cutting JP2 gives steady output for coded circuits
- High or low dB output; cutting JP3 selects low, about 5 dB quieter
- Temporal at 24 VDC: 75.7 dBA high, 72.3 dBA low, UL 464 at 10 ft in a reverberant room
- Operating current, temporal at 24 VDC: 112 mA high, 43 mA low
- 24 VDC or 24 VFWR, tested to limits of 16 and 33 V; wiring 12 to 18 AWG
- 6.5 in. high by 5 in. wide, projecting 1 in.; 32 to 120 °F, 0 to 93% RH
- Flush to a 4 in. square box with the supplied spacer, or surface on an EG4RB box
G4LFRF-HVM adds a FullLight strobe at 15, 30, 75 or 110 cd. G4LFRN-H drops the FIRE marking and G4LFWF-H is white. EG4LFRF is the later Genesis LED low frequency horn, a separate appliance.
