Honeywell Home 4193SN — micro-miniature serialized V-Plex two-zone expander for VISTA polling loops.
V-Plex carries power and data on the same two wires, so a plain normally closed contact or four-wire smoke detector reports as its own identified point instead of being run home to a panel zone. The 4193SN does that in the smallest package, addressed by a built-in serial number rather than DIP switches.
Features
- Loop 1 supervised with a 10K end-of-line resistor plus Loop 2 unsupervised, or both unsupervised with normally closed devices only
- Built-in serial number for addressing; nothing to set on the module
- Powered and polled from the two-wire V-Plex loop, 1.5 mA input current
- Fire use requires mounting inside the panel cabinet or a UL-Listed junction box, Loop 1 supervised
- UL burglary use of an unsupervised zone requires mounting within 3 ft of the initiating device

FAQ
Do I set an address on the 4193SN? No. It is addressed by its built-in serial number, so there are no DIP switches to set on the module.
Can the 4193SN be used for fire zones? Fire use requires mounting inside the panel cabinet or a UL-Listed junction box, with Loop 1 supervised.
