Gamewell-FCI LCD-E3 — the liquid crystal keypad display that serves as the main panel display for the E3 Series® Expandable Emergency Evacuation System, combining an 80-character event display with indicating LEDs, control switches and a 12-button keypad.
Up to six LCD-E3 displays are supported, any or all of which may be remotely located from the fire alarm control panel over a local RS-485 serial interface. The display connects to the E3 Series control panel, the S3 Series control panel, the ILI-MB-E3 or ILI95-MB-E3 loop interface main board, and the SLP-E3 Smart Loop Panel. Operating switches are Alarm Acknowledge, System Reset/Lamp Test, Signal Silence and Trouble Acknowledge, plus Menu/Back, Back Space/Edit and OK function buttons. LED indicators are AC Power On (green), Alarm (red), Supervisory (yellow), System Trouble (yellow), Power Fault (yellow), System Silenced (yellow) and Ground Fault (yellow).

Installation notes

Power source: the display runs on 24 VDC full-wave-rectified power from the PM-9 power supply — it is not a self-powered annunciator.

Six-display limit: the E3 Series, ILI-MB-E3/ILI95-MB-E3, S3 Series and SLP-E3 each support up to six LCD-E3 displays on the RS-485 bus.

Cabinet-specific door required: the LCD-E3 mounts in an E3 Series door or cabinet chosen to match the enclosure — E3ID2-A (“A” inner door), E3BB-FLUSH-LCD (“A2” flush), E3ID-A2 (“A2” inner door), E3ID2-B (“B” inner door), E3BB-RBSLIM (B-Slim outer door), 7200-B-Retrofits, IF600-RETROFIT (outer door), E3ID2-C (“C” inner door), 7200-C-RETROFIT and E3ID2-D (“D” inner door). Order the door separately.

Recommended environment: the display meets NFPA requirements over 32–120°F, but Gamewell-FCI recommends a normal room temperature of 60–80°F (15–27°C) to protect component life.
