Gamewell-FCI ILI-MB-E3 — Intelligent Loop Interface Main Board, the main interface for the E3 Series® product line: a compact 32-bit RISC "panel on a board."
The ILI-MB-E3 is used in the E3 Series Expandable Emergency Evacuation System, the E3 Series Combined Fire and Mass Notification System, and the E3 Series Broadband Voice Command Center. On one board it provides two signaling line circuits, auxiliary power output, a local energy city box output, auxiliary relay functions and two notification appliance circuits, combined with built-in network and serial protocols. Each SLC accepts up to 159 detectors, 159 modules and 159 addressable sounder bases in Velociti® mode (99 detectors and 99 modules per SLC in CLIP™ mode), with 40 characters of user-defined text per device and an 8100-event history log. The board is network-ready, occupying one of 64 nodes at 625K baud ARCNET; the Addressable Node Expander (ANX) board extends the network to 122 nodes, and the optional RPT-E3-UTP adds signal boosting, transient protection and wire or fiber connectivity for remote locations. Relay outputs include system alarm, supervisory and system trouble contacts.

Installation notes

Class X requires isolators: Class X signaling line circuit wiring requires the use of System Sensor M500X isolator modules.

City box output is not power-limited: the local energy city master box output is non power-limited while all other wiring is Class 2 power-limited — keep those conductors separated accordingly.

Node budget: the board occupies one of 64 network nodes; the ANX Addressable Node Expander is required to grow the network to 122 nodes.

Remote connectivity: the optional RPT-E3-UTP provides signal boosting and transient protection plus wire and fiber-optic connectivity when sub-assemblies sit at remote locations.
