Gamewell-FCI AM-50-70 — a 50 watt digital switching power amplifier producing 70.7 VRMS audio output for E3 Series® voice evacuation systems.
The AM-50-70 is a component of the E3 Series® Expandable Emergency Evacuation System, the E3 Series Combined Fire and Mass Notification System and the E3 Series Broadband Voice Evacuation System. It provides two speaker circuits that can be wired Style Y (Class B) or Style Z (Class A); both circuits produce a combined total of 50 watts, which may be divided between them, and each may be individually activated and supervised by an INI-VGX Transponder Voice Gateway. Terminal connections accommodate up to 12 AWG twisted-pair shielded wire. The amplifier can be programmed to broadcast sixteen messages generated from its local INI-VGX Voice Gateway and delivers clarity intended for intelligible live voice paging. When selected System Sensor speakers are used with the manufacturer’s 520 Hz audio profile, the E3 Series system is compliant with UL 464 low frequency requirements.

Installation notes
-
Do not mix output voltages on a node: an INI-VGX Voice Gateway supports up to four AM-50 Series amplifiers of the same output voltage. An AM-50-25 and an AM-50-70 cannot be wired to the same INI-VGX Voice Gateway node. The data sheet also states a maximum of 150 watts between the four amplifiers.
-
Cabinet capacity: as many as four AM-50 Series amplifiers install in Cabinet B (INX-CAB-B), Cabinet C (INX-CAB-C) or Cabinet D (INX-CAB-D) when supervised and controlled by an INI-VGX Voice Gateway.
-
ACU applications: use the AM-50 Extender Plate when the E3 Series control panel is used with the Autonomous Control Unit (ACU) of the E3 Series Combined Fire and Mass Notification System.
-
Power budget: the 50 watts is the combined total of both speaker circuits, not 50 watts per circuit — divide the load when designing circuits.
-
Low frequency compliance is system-level: UL 464 520 Hz compliance depends on using the selected System Sensor speakers with the 520 Hz audio profile.
