Wheelock CBB-8 (Eaton order code 3314) is the 8 in. ceiling speaker backbox for Wheelock Series S8 ceiling speakers and speaker strobes. Eaton's mounting accessories data sheet lists it as item DD, used with Series S 8 in. ceiling speakers, and the S8 data sheet names it, with the SSB-8 support bridge, as the mounting option for those appliances.

Compatibility and installation notes
- S8 models that list mounting option DD (CBB-8): S8-70/25 speaker (order 0052), S8-24MCC speaker strobe, 15/30/75/95 cd (order 0054), S8-24MCCH speaker strobe, 115/177 cd (order 0056).
- The S8 data sheet gives CBB-8 and SSB-8 as the two mounting choices; the SSB-8 is the ceiling support bridge alternative.
- S8 appliances use IN/OUT screw terminals for #12 to #18 AWG wire.
- The speaker or speaker strobe is ordered separately.
