Det-Tronics 102740-002 — calibration magnet, the handheld tool that actuates the internal reed switch on Det-Tronics flame and gas detectors.
The reed switch lets calibration, alarm reset and optical integrity testing be done without opening the housing. On the PointWatch Eclipse CO2 detector a momentary touch resets latched alarms and holding the magnet two seconds or more starts calibration; on the X3301 flame detector it is held at the point marked MAG oi for six seconds, firing the calibrated IR emitters.
- Named Calibration Magnet in the spare parts blocks of 95-8676 and 95-8556 (OPECL)
- Listed as accessory Magnet for the X3301 flame detector in 95-8704
- FM, CSA, EN 54-10 and offshore approved as an X3301 accessory
- Non-intrusive one-person calibration: no tools, no cover removal
- Extinguishing devices must be disabled first, because a successful oi test actuates the alarm output
This number is the bare magnet: 007739-001 is the magnet with an extension pole and 008082-001 the magnet with a pole adapter. It is a test tool and not calibration gas, which carries its own numbers.
