BRK SMICO100 — battery-powered combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, catalogue number 1046864.
One unit answers two hazards, pairing an ionization smoke chamber with an electrochemical carbon monoxide cell. Because it runs entirely from its own replaceable 9V cell it needs no branch circuit, which is why it is specified for retrofits and for rooms where no wiring exists.
- Ionization smoke chamber plus electrochemical CO sensor, both with a 10 year service life
- Powered by a supervised replaceable 9V alkaline battery, included
- Solid state piezo horn rated 85 dB at 10 feet
- CO alarm points: 400 PPM in 4 to 15 minutes, 150 PPM in 10 to 50 minutes, 70 PPM in 60 to 240 minutes
- 5.12" diameter × 1.97" high, 0.50 lb; 40°F to 100°F
- Certified to UL 217 and UL 2034; wall or ceiling mounting
Do not confuse it with the SMICO100-AC, catalogue 1046871, which is 120V AC hardwired with 9V backup and interconnects up to 18 alarms; the SMICO100 is standalone and its spec sheet lists no interconnect. The SMICO110, catalogue 1046890, is the sealed 10 year lithium version whose cell cannot be replaced.
