Bosch D7050 — multiplex addressable photoelectric smoke detector head for Bosch fire and combination panels, supplied without a base.
It detects large smoke particles by scattering light from a pulsed infrared source read by a gated high-speed photodiode, in a chamber whose symmetry admits smoke from every direction while keeping external light out. Bosch sells head and base separately: the base installs over a back box and carries all the field wiring.
- Connects to the multiplex bus of the FPD-7024 or D7024 FACP, the DS7400Xi and G Series panels
- Alarm current 0.56 mA maximum, standby 0.55 mA nominal, from the multiplex bus
- Power-up 22 sec maximum; minimum 8 Vdc peak from the bus
- 4 in. diameter x 1.3 in. deep, off-white high-impact fire-retardant ABS
- 32 to 100 °F; no alarm or setup from 26 to 950 MHz below 50 V per m
- Chamber Check self-diagnostics: one flash every 3 to 8 sec normally, at least one per second in alarm
- UL 268 and CAN/ULC-S529, evaluated under UL 864 10th edition, FM approved in the D7050 Family
Bosch marks D7050-B6, the two-wire multiplex base, as the required base for this head. D7050TH is the same head with a 57 °C fixed-temperature element added, and the UL 521 heat listing belongs to that model alone.
