APC 7-CO — replacement carbon monoxide sensor head for the Air Products and Controls SL-701 duct CO detector.
The SL-701 samples air at the air-handler supply or return and shuts the unit down when dangerous CO levels are detected. Its electrochemical sensor has a limited life: at end of life the status LED goes off and the yellow fault LED lights. APC states the sensor head can be replaced without replacing the entire detector, and names 7-CO as that head.
- Fits the APC SL-701 duct CO detector (sold as SL-701 KIT)
- Electrochemical CO sensor, a UL Recognized component to UL 2034; also meets EN 50291
- Life about six years at 59–86 °F and 30–60% RH; heat, cold and low humidity shorten it
- Detector alarms at four CO levels, from 50–70 ppm over 8 hours to 400+ ppm over 5 minutes
- Snap-in head; a solid green LED on the head shows normal operation
A sensor only: the SL-701 housing, relays and FAST sampling tubes are not included. The SL-701 is a CO system detector, not a smoke detector or CO alarm. Not the SSU-7-CO, a separate Space Age number, or the MSR-50CO remote alarm accessory.
