Amerex C260 — 6 liter stored-pressure wet chemical fire extinguisher for commercial kitchens, Amerex item number 27596.
Class K extinguishers exist because vegetable cooking oils burn hotter than the fuels ordinary extinguishers are rated for and readily reignite. The potassium acetate agent leaves the spray nozzle as a fine mist that saponifies the oil surface and cools the appliance.
